Hey guys, yesterday my husband and I went over to our mentor’s house to play a game called CashFlow. It’s a pretty cool game although, if you are competitive I would advise you to remember that it is a game and to not get too upset about it. I would probably consider it somewhat like Monopoly. I think it is better but that is my own opinion.
Anyway, while we were playing I was losing, but it was due to the fact that I was not playing as aggressively as I should have. I had a handicap and should have been trying harder instead of playing it safe. Therefore, I lost but I was not in last place! Yes, I am slightly competitive. Some would say I am very competitive but I would disagree. To make a long story short after the game my mentor pointed out to me that I could have won if I had taken “Bigger Deals”. That I had the means to win but didn’t take the chances I should have.
I realized that I do that in life a lot. I play it safe. I don’t rock the boat. Because of that, I have missed opportunities to make a bigger impact in my spheres of influence. I know I am not the only one who does this.
What kind of impact could you make if you didn’t let fear get in your way?
Be Strong and Courageous
